Rei Otohata is one of the main characters in the Gals! universe. Rei was voted the #1 High School student, meaning he is considered the coolest and best looking teenager in the area.
Appearance[]
Rei is tall and has a slender build with Hazel eyes and short brown hair that typically isn't styled and stays the same though the series. He usually wears a cold expression on his face.
Personality[]
Rei doesn't usually express much and is very cold. He seems to be detached and annoyed by girls like Ran but he secretly has a crush on her. He also has feelings for Aya because of Ran, after he starts dating her out of Pity. He typically hides his feelings and has trouble expressing them. He rarely smiles and isn't a fan of sweets.
History[]
Rei is introduced as a student who was voted #1 High School Student by a magazine. Since then he has been getting a ton of modeling opportunities along with his best friend Yuya, who was voted #2. He and Ran meet after Ran tries to get his bag, learning it's a huge trend to get a Meisho bag from Rei or Yuya. Rei makes some nasty remarks at Ran which causes her to storm off, with his bag. After helping Aya, he lets her keep it. After that, Rei and Yuya begin hanging out with Ran, Miyu, and Aya, much to his disdain. He is typically dragged along by Yuya's attempts to get Ran to be his girlfriend. Sometime later, he starts to develop feelings for Ran but keeps them well hidden. However, Ran is not aware of his feelings and doesn't return them, instead Ran asks Rei to start dating Aya. He agrees in order to make Ran happy and out of pity for Aya. Overtime he does fall for Aya and gets rid of his feelings for Ran. At the end of the series, he goes to the same college as Aya.
